Employee Benefits for Hospital Positions

Pinnacle Hospital offers a bountiful array of insurance benefits to our regular staff members who have been offered and continue to work a full-time position sixty (60) or more hours per bi-weekly pay. Insurance benefits become available on the first (1st) day of the month after sixty days of full-time employment.

Pinnacle Hospital also offers a generous Paid Time Off program to our regular staff members who have been offered and continue to work a minimum of forty-eight (48) or more hours per bi-weekly pay. It starts to accrue on the first day of employment and is available after successfully completing the ninety (90) day introductory period.

Our Complete List of Benefits

Health and Prescription Plan

A plan has been chosen to provide our staff the freedom and access to a network of physicians, facilities and other healthcare professionals, including specialists without designating a Primary Care Physician or without having to obtain a referral. There is no deductible or co-pay for preventive services.

Dental Plan

Anthem Dental Choice PPO plan has been chosen to provide our staff the choice of dentists, no waiting periods once enrolled and no deductible or co-pay for preventive dental services, basic services are covered at 80% and major services (including orthodontia) is covered at 50% up to an annual maximum.

Vision Plan

Anthem Blue View Vision plan has been chosen to provide our staff the access to local vision care providers, including some retail chains. Plan members have very low co-pays for the yearly exam, yearly lenses or contacts.

Life Insurance

Anthem has been chosen to provide our staff life insurance at one times the annual earnings, up to $100,000.

Pinnacle Hospital pays 100% of the premium for Life insurance coverage.

Anthem also provides voluntary Life insurance at very reasonable rates for additional employee coverage and dependent coverage.

Short & Long Term Disability Insurance

The Standard Company has been chosen to provide staff coverage in the event of a disability. Short term disability begins on the 15th day of disability. Long term disability begins on the 90th day and can last until permanent disability.

Pinnacle Hospital pays 100% of the premium for Disability insurance coverage.

401k Retirement Savings Plan

Pinnacle Healthcare LLC has a retirement savings plan available to all eligible employees who wish to participate. In order to be eligible, you must be at least 21 years of age, employed by Pinnacle at least 1 year and have worked 1,000 productive work hours within your 1st year of employment.

As an eligible employee, you can contribute up to 100% of your salary to the plan, as long as it does not exceed the IRS contribution limits. Pinnacle Healthcare is currently offering a generous match to any employee contributions!

Paid Time Off (PTO) Program

Pinnacle Hospital offers paid time off programs that includes vacations, holiday and personal time off. Pinnacle also offers an extended illness benefit (EIB) for staff members. These benefits are offered to staff members working a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours or more per bi-weekly pay. The benefit hours begins to accrue immediately upon hire, and these accruals are available for use after successful completion of the ninety (90) day introductory period.

EIB is only able to be used for illnesses lasting longer than five scheduled days, an overnight admission to a hospital, or a surgical procedure.

Holidays

Pinnacle Hospital observes the following six traditional holidays and these days are paid at time and one half for staff members that are required to work:

  • New Year’s Day, January 1
  • Memorial Day, Last Monday in May
  • Independence Day, July 4
  • Labor Day, First Monday in September
  • Thanksgiving Day, Fourth Thursday in November
  • Christmas Day, December 25

Meal Program

Pinnacle Hospital offers a discounted, payroll deducted program for staff members for lunchtime meal choices.

Employee Assistance Program

Personal problems, planning for life events or simply managing daily life can affect your work, health and family. The E.A.P. is a no-cost, company-sponsored benefit that is available to staff members that offers confidential support, resources and information to get through life’s challenges.
