In memory of J. Patrick Barnes: Barnes’ parents established the foundation in their son’s memory, as they had experienced firsthand the skills and compassionate care of several nurses.

The award is awarded quarterly to outstanding nurses nominated by patients, families and professional colleagues in over 315 hospitals throughout our nation. Daisy Award honorees personify the remarkable patient care experience at Pinnacle Hospital. The Nurse must demonstrate excellence through clinical expertise, skill and compassionate care. As a Daisy Honoree, the Nurse is recognized as extraordinary role model in the nursing community.

Pinnacle Hospital awarded HFAP accreditation


Pinnacle Hospital was awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), an independent, accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). It earned this distinction after HFAP conducted an extensive and objective review of the (hospital, lab, ambulatory physical therapy, etc)’s quality and safety standards.

“Pinnacle Hospital clearly demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care,” said Beverly Robins, Director of Accreditation/Certification Services for HFAP. “We base our decision on federal standards, as well as recognized national standards for patient safety, quality improvement, and environmental safety. Pinnacle Hospital has met or exceeded standards in every case.”
